Books 4 Less Trade Policy - Used - Textbooks
Trades

Yes, Virginia, you can trade your books in at BOOKS For Less.

We may even pay you cash!

Bring your books in and we'll issue you trade points for items.
Trade points issued will typically equal half of what we will sell an item for.

Trade points allow you to take an extra 50% off any “used” item in our stores!

We pay cash for current College Textbooks, Current Bestsellers & New Releases, Books on CD, and certain other categories from time to time as we have need.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will my trade points work?

You will receive 50% of the predicted sale value in trade points for every book you bring in.

When purchasing, trade points will then give you a 50% discount on any used item in our stores.

If you continually trade books, you will never run out of points and always get 50% off in addition to our already low discounts.

Can I get cash for my books?

We pay cash for current college textbooks, current bestsellers, new releases, books on CD, and any category we may have a special need for.  There is really no way for you or us to know whether we can pay cash for your items until you bring them in.  We can usually give trade points for most items.  Cash is limited to those few items we may have trouble getting otherwise.

What do you mean by “new” and “used”?

“Used” means we got it from another customer.  “New” means it came from our new book distributors.  We will never put a “New” sticker on an item we received from a customer, no matter how good it looks.

Can I use my trade points on new items?

We’re sorry, but if we allowed that, we’d be out of business in a couple of months.   Then who would give you these great discounts?

Do my points expire?

Your trade points are kept in an account under your name and they do not expire.

Can I get cash for my trade points?

No, we’re sorry.  See the answers above.

Can I give my trade points to someone else?

Yes, you may list whichever family members or friends under your account that you wish to have access to your points.  You may also transfer some or all of your trade points to someone else’s name.

Why can’t I use my trade points to cover the full price of a used item?

Because we have to eat and pay our bills!

How often can I use my trade points?

As often as you like!
