Frequently Asked Questions

What will my trade points work on?

Trade points will give you a 50% discount on any used item in our stores.

Can I get cash for my books?

We pay cash for recent college textbooks, current bestsellers, new releases, books on CD, and any category we may have a special need for.  There is really no way for you or us to know whether we can pay cash for your items until you bring them in.  We can usually give trade points for most items.  Cash is limited to those few items we may have trouble getting otherwise.

What do you mean by “new” and “used”?

“Used” means we got it from another customer.  “New” means it came from our distributor. We will never put a “New” sticker on an item we received from a customer, no matter how good it looks.

Can I use my trade points on new items?

We’re sorry, but if we allowed that, we’d be out of business in a couple of months.  Then who would give you these great discounts?

   Do my points expire?

No.  Your trade points are kept in an account under your name and they do not expire.

Can I get cash for my trade points?

No, we’re sorry.  See the answers above.

Can I give my trade points to someone else?

Yes, you may list whichever family members or friends under your account that you wish to have access to your points.  You may also transfer your trade points to someone else’s name.

Why can’t I use my trade points to cover the full price of a used item?

            Because we have to eat.

How often can I use my trade points?

As often as you’d like.  We’d love it if you used them several times per day.
